  • · Ammar Obeid is a multilingual Actor and filmmaker who speaks Arabic Japanese, English-German   was born in 1993, in Alswayda City in Syria, he began as a theatre actor and writer, and filmmaker in 2007 He has been based in Berlin since 2017, where he currently works as an independent artist exploring visuals and sounds, through mediums such as short documentary films, image making as well as an established screen actor since 2019 with his first appearing in the short film (ON THE OTHER SIDE) 2020 which showed in Cannes film festival 2021   

  • · Obeid holds a bachelor's degree in Japanese literature from Damascus University 2015 and a bachelor of Screen Acting studies from Catalyst Berlin 2024, the winner of the best short German Documentary in 2023 in Capital Filmmakers Berlin Film Festival from his film (Would you Play it again?) which produced in 2021 and selected in international Macau film festival in December 2023.   

  • · Obeid aims to keep creating his artworks theatrically and cinematically as an actor and director as he began that journey of discovering his unique voice as a performer and creator in 2007 in Syria, where he feels the freedom to create within the framework of a collective-based practice, also to follow his needs to communicate visually and interact with the audience of his films.
