I grew up in Halle/Saale, in the former GDR, and experienced the fall of the Berlin Wall with joy and curiosity, though without any romanticism. A few years after the reunification of Germany, I moved to Munich on my own. The Bavarian state capital unexpectedly became my new chosen home. As a young single mother, I made the challenging big city my ally. My child was my heartbeat, my dreams my compass. My deep passion for acting found its way to me in 2005 at the National Theatre in Munich. Whether on the stage of the theater, or in front of the camera, every role is a soulful exploration 
of the character for me. Searching and inquiring, I discover the hidden layers of the role, in order to connect with the figure I portray.
