The actor is part of the main cast of "Those About To Die", directed by Roland Emmerich and Marco Kreuzpaintner, with Sir Anthony Hopkins and Iwan Rheon. In the series, inspired by the book by Daniel Mannix and shot at the historic Cinecitta studios in Rome, Gonçalo will play "Elia", one of the Corsi brothers. He recently co-starred, with Miguel Guilherme, in the play "O Coração de Um Pugilista", by Lutz Hubner, directed by João Lourenço, staged for four months at Teatro Aberto. With Teatro Experimental de Cascais and directed by Carlos Avilez, he was part of the cast in "Camino Real", by Tenessee Williams, "Hamlet", by William Shakespeare and "Os Gigantes da Montanha", by Luigi Pirandello. Gonçalo had the leading role in the short film "Monte Clérigo", directed by Luís Campos. He made his television debut in the main cast of "Esperança" (Opto SIC), in the role of Rodrigo, Esperança's grandson and then joined the main cast of the TV serie "Amor Amor 2" (SP Televisão SIC) in the role of Ricky. In 2021 he finished the Acting Course at the Cascais Professional Theatre School (2018-2021).
