Hussein Hassan Ali is an award winning actor and director from Iraqi Kurdistan. His work has been awarded at the Berlinale, Dubai Int'l Film Fest, Asian Pacific Screen Awards to name a few. He has played in three films that were the Oscar entry for his country. His most recent project "The Rain Bride" that he wrote, directed and acted in won Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, and Special mention for Cinematography at the Duhok Int'l Film Festival in 2022. This project can be seen on HBO Europe.  2020 he made his international debut in the int'l series "Peacemaker"in a large supporting role in English language.
