Ishtar attended NQADA (The National Queensland Academy of Dramatic Arts) since moving to Australia at the age of four. Performing in yearly productions at the CPAC and landing her first on-screen role at the age of seven, in the locally shot feature 'Fools Gold' starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. She continued acting throughout high school, spending her summers at NIDA (The National Institute of Dramatic Arts) young adult workshops.
