Born in Vienna in 1976, the theater, film, and television actor completed his acting training at the Franz Schubert Conservatory.

At the beginning of his career, he appeared in well-known Austrian (ORF), German (ZDF), and ARD television series such as "Medicopter" and "Schlosshotel Orth", as well as a recurring role in the ORF series "Die Lottosieger". Other roles in Roland Düringer's films "Die Viertelliterklasse" and "Poppitz", and Miguel Alexandre's TV two-parter "Der Mann mit dem Fagott" are part of his artistic career.

Seeböck can regularly be seen in Austrian and German television productions. Jakob Seeböck gained international recognition through his longstanding leading role as Commissioner "Lukas Roither" in the ORF/ZDF crime series "SOKO Kitzbühel", for which he was awarded the coveted TV prize "ROMY" in 2020 in the category "Most Popular Actor Series/Show".

In addition to his on-screen presence, his resume also includes numerous appearances on well-known Austrian theater stages. In 2000, he made his theater debut at the Landestheater Niederösterreich. Other notable engagements took place at the Volkstheater Wien, Theater der Jugend, the Raimundspiele Gutenstein, and the Sommerspiele Perchtoldsdorf. During this time, Jakob Seeböck collaborated with a wide range of renowned TV, theater, and film directors.

He is the son of the acting couple Erika Mottl and Herwig Seeböck († 2011), married, father of two sons, and lives in Vienna.

Since 2021, Seeböck can be seen in the ORF series "Alles Finster".

Since January 2024, he has been portraying the lead role "Mark Auer" in the international ORF/ARD/BR/SRF primetime series "School of Champions".
