Miki is the eldest of 4 siblings and lives in Lower Hutt, New Zealand with their Japanese father, French stepmother, and 3 younger siblings. At age 1 they were diagnosed with retinoblastoma and underwent surgery where both the tumor and their left eye were removed. They have been wearing a glass eye and have been in remission since. Miki was born and raised in Lower Hutt, New Zealand where they lived until age 11, when they moved back to Chiba, Japan with their mother and younger sister. They attended primary and intermediate school in Japan for 3 years before moving back to Wellington at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in January 2020. Miki graduated from Wā Ora Montessori High School in December 2022 and is studying a Bachelor of Design at Massey University in Wellington, majoring in Concept Design since March 2023. Extremely creative, in their free time Miki enjoys working on various art and craft projects, reading horror stories, and watching Japanese anime and horror movies. Miki identifies as nonbinary and is passionate about equity and rainbow rights.
