Mayela was born in Mexico on April 8, 1990, and grew up in France. At the age of 17, her family relocated to China due to her father’s work. After finishing high school at the International French high school in Beijing, she decided to stay in China to study Chinese at the university (对外经济贸易大学). At the age of 23, she joined a stunt team based in Beijing where she developed her skills as an action actress, she started her acting career with some smaller roles in movies such as《大墓笔记》,《大闹天竺》and 《阿修罗》.  Some years later, focusing on both action and drama films, she appeared as a guest star in the TV series 《流金岁月》in episode 3, and got some major roles in movies such as《我是女特警》《极地追击》《怒火》and other films that are soon to come out.
