MELCHIOR DEROUET (blind actor) 
Born on 15/11/1981, Melchior Derouet is an actor who has been blind since birth, but who already has a successful career under his belt. 

Despite his visual handicap, he was trained as a professional from an early age. 
His career includes theatre films and television. From the age of 7 onwards, he has been directed by leading artists in France and abroad: Mnouchkine, Tyckwer, Cochet, Garcia. 

His disability has not prevented him from being just as independent on long tours that have taken him as far as Guyana or South Africa, or on complex sets alongside international actors such as Alexandra Maria Lara or Nathalie Portman, with whom he has a story in Tom Tyckwer's film "PARIS JE T'AIME". 

Melchior starred in Kirk Ellis's series "THE GRAND MASTER: FRANKLIN IN PARIS", in which he played an able-bodied person. He also performed the Aviator in Saint-Exupéry's "VOL DE NUIT", and the dictator 
Jean de Leyde in Martin le Chevallier's project. 

He is a competitive skier, further proof of his great independence. He's 
a person of magnificent sensitivity!
