I am Melika Rezapour, a filmmaker and actress born and raised in Tehran. Since 2017, I have been living in Germany, where I studied Screen Acting in Berlin. I am fluent in English and German, and my native language is Persian (Farsi).

As both an actress and director, I am passionate about telling impactful stories. My short film The One-Way Ticket was screened in over 13 countries at 35 international festivals, including the Seattle International Film Festival, and won five awards. My second short film is currently on its festival run and has already won the Best Jury Award for Best Short Film at the Berlin Independent Film Festival.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Screen Acting from Marjon University and serve as a jury member for the IAIA Film Festival 2025. My work often explores socially relevant topics, particularly women’s rights and cultural identities. I have also spoken about women’s rights in Iran at events such as the Iranian Movie Night, which was covered by Konstanz Zeitung.

I am dedicated to creating meaningful films that spark conversations and inspire change.
