As a child, Natalja Althauser lived in Moscow, The Hague, Brussels and Berlin. In 2011 she began studying Slavic Studies and Philosophy in Freiburg im Breisgau. In 2016 she went to London for her Masters in Contemporary Performing Arts at Royal Holloway University. In the summer of 2017 she was a co-curator of the AsterFilmFestival in Strumica, North Macedonia and worked as a production assistant for ARTE. Since October 2019 she has been working on dramatic texts at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig. At the same time, she continued studying law at the University of Leipzig. In October 2022 her first piece (Gottlos) was premiered at the eWerk in Freiburg im Breisgau.
