Pinar Ciftci is a multifaceted actress, writer, producer and journalist.

Ciftci was born and raised in Oslo, Norway, and is of Kurdish descent. She is proficient in multiple languages, including Norwegian, English, Turkish, German, French and Kurdish.

 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Production and Acting from Nord Universitet in Norway, and has trained in the Meisner Acting Technique at the William Esper Studio in New York. Ciftci has been involved in international theatre and film productions from Norway, Chile, Austria and Greece.

As a journalist, she has contributed extensively to various Norwegian publications, including Rushprint, Aftenposten, Ny Tid, and Periskop. Her journalistic work has achieved international recognition, being translated into both Arabic and English.​

 

She made her debut as a playwright with the play HOL at Det Norske Teatret in 2023, where she starred in the lead role.

Currently, she is starring in the leading female role in the short film I WALKED ALONE (2023).
