Sezen Sahin was born and raised in Hamburg.

She discovered her passion for music and theatre / acting at a young age, where she quickly started on her path as a singer.

She started singing as a child and spent 6 years at the Stagecoach / Stage-Up! musical school for dance, singing and acting.

Besides singing, she learned the piano at a young age and later the guitar.

She has been playing the piano since the age of 10 and wrote her first own songs.

During her school years she sang in several choirs and was a singer in the school big band.

Sezen completed a one-year orientation course at the Hamburg Conservatory with jazz singing as her main subject, as well as a preparatory course at the Hamburg Youth Music School. Here she was also active as a singer in several jazz bands. She also received jazz singing lessons and classical singing lessons.

At the Hamburg Conservatory and the Hamburg Youth Music School she received lessons in music theory and ear training. She was part of the vocal ensemble. 

In Hamburg and Berlin she led courses in primary schools (vocal ensemble and instrument AG).

Sezen performed in supporting roles at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg. 

Since October 2021, she has been studying music to become a teacher with a major in jazz/pop singing and a minor in classical piano at the Universität der Künste in Berlin.

She has often performed on stage under her stage name Sezou.

She is active as a singer / songwriter since 2019 and releases her own music.

Alongside her studies, she is building her singing career in Berlin and is also active as a singer.
