Thomas Morris was born in Vienna in 1966, completed his training as a landscape architect and then went to drama school. During his three-year training, he already played small theater roles at the Vienna Kammerspiele (Theater in der Josefstadt) and his first leading role in the film "Fleischwolf" (1989). He toured internationally with the film to many festivals, which opened the door for him (having grown up bilingual) to roles in English-language productions. In 1992, he played in Jon Jost's low-budget film "The Bed You Sleep In" for the first time in the USA, just two years after graduating from drama school. In 1993, he was cast by Steven Spielberg as "Grun" in "Schindler's List", his first role in a major Hollywood film, which was shot in Krakow, Poland. Since then, he has played over a hundred very different roles in German and English-language film and television productions, from a supporting role in "Das beste Stück" (2002), the most successful German TV comedy at the time, to the lead role in the horror film "Sky Sharks" (2020), in which he plays the mysterious Dr. Klaus Richter at the ages of 30, 50 and 115. In 1997, he starred alongside Burt Reynolds, and in 2008 alongside Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor in Ron Haowrd's Hollywood mega-hit "Illuminati" ("Angels & Demons"). In addition to his work in front of the camera, he has written several books and screenplays and spoken numerous audio books and radio plays.
