After growing up in Europe, the Middle East and the UK, in 2019, Toon de Melker, a Belgian-born Method Actor, started his training at Playwrights Horizons Theatre school under the direction of Frederick Ertle. He followed a rigorous artistic curriculum, including classes by Jedidiah Schultz, Aeon Andreas and David Ryan Smith.

In 2021, he was admitted to the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Reputed professors like Robert Ellerman, Tim Crouse and J. Allen Suddeth, guided him to the next level to become an experienced and knowledgeable method actor.

At the Lee Strasberg studio, Toon made his off-off- broadway debut in Dylan Guerra’s ‘Lisa’ directed by Laura Dupper which won the The Clifford Odets Ensemble Play Commission.
