Vítor Fernandes holds a degree in theater and performing arts from UTAD. He began his professional career as an actor in 2006 and has since participated in approximately 35 theatrical productions, performing on many of the country's largest stages. He has also performed in countries such as the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Lithuania, Greece, and China.

His theatrical work is particularly notable with Jangada Teatro, where he has been a resident actor since 2009, collaborating with directors such as John Mowat, Joaquim Nicolau, José Carretas, and José Caldas, among others. As a director, his work includes projects with the Tetli company (Mexico City) and the Escritaria '22 festival in Penafiel.

In cinema, he acted in the feature films Balas e Bolinhos 4 and Bad Investigate. As a casting director, he worked on the feature film 1618 (available on HBO MAX), 1506: The Lisbon Genocide, The 2000 Exiled Jewish Children, and CODEC (still in pre-production).

On television, he recently appeared in the series Vizinhos Para Sempre on TVI and O Clube on SIC Opto.

He is a founding member of Instinto Filmes, a cooperative dedicated to programming cinema in alternative spaces.
