Are you a professional actor from the Balkan region? Do you want to showcase your talent to some of the most influential casting directors around the world? 

 

Introducing the inaugural OneMinuteMonologue Balkan Focus event—an unparalleled opportunity for professional actors from above mentioned countries, to present their craft directly to the Casting Directors of the International Casting Directors Association (ICDA). This OneMinuteMonologue is brought to you by Filmmakers Europe, Spotlight, and the International Casting Directors Association in collaboration with the Agency of Creative Industries and N’Art Residency -of Tirana Albania.

A OneMinuteMonologue is at the heart of this event. It’s a powerful, one-minute performance where you demonstrate your range, depth, and unique qualities as an actor.

The submission of your OneMinuteMonologue is the heart of this event. Furthermore, if your monologue captivates the ICDA casting directors, you will be one of 30 selected participants that will be invited to the Actors’ Lab Workshop - a four-day program at N’ART Residence. 

This workshop will be in close partnership with the ICDA casting directors and happen in Tirana, Albania end the of October 2024.
(Dates to be confirmed with the selected participants at a later time. Accommodation and travel costs support will be covered by the organisers)

The Actors’ Lab is a 4-day workshop program in a dynamic environment where the 30 selected actors will engage in intensive exchange with international casting directors, focusing on topics like self-taping, auditioning, and strategies for international work. 

Participants will build connections and learn how to improve their international visibility and prepare for global opportunities. Hands-On Learning, Networking and Career Development – these are just a few of the benefits of the Actor’s Lab.

All OneMinuteMonologue submissions will be reviewed by the ICDA casting directors. Those that stand out will be discussed by the casting directors and get invited to the Actors’ Lab workshop.
