Back in Berlin

Dear filmmakers,
I'm back home in Berlin. I was in Switzerland during this summer, where I performed Alessandro Baricco's romantic story “Novecento” on a red ship parked at the port of Basel.
It is the story of a child who was abandoned on a ship by poor emigrants at the beginning of the 20th century and later became the greatest pianist of all time.
A wondrous story about desires and the courage to live them despite adverse circumstances.
The sold-out performances, the enthusiastic audience and, above all, my courage to accept this challenge of standing alone on stage with two musicians for two hours and to go through it playfully showed me again: the stage is my home. And the film is my love affair.
After three years away from the camera I will filming in Hamburg in October and November and I'm really looking forward to it.
